How to: Wet Hair Look

Step 1: Start with Clean, Damp Hair
The key to a successful wet hair look is to begin with clean, damp hair. Wash your hair with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to ensure a smooth and hydrated base. Gently towel dry your hair, leaving it slightly damp but not dripping wet. My hair was on day 2 with some dry shampoo. I would avoid having really dirty hair for this look because you will literally smell like a wet dog (sorry but true LOL).
Step 2: Comb and Style
Using a wide-tooth comb or your fingers, comb through your hair to remove any tangles. If you prefer a sleek look, comb your hair back away from your face. For a more tousled and beachy vibe, comb your hair forward and create a few loose waves with your fingers.
I used an "Olivia Garden Brush" with my FAV "Redken One Untied" to detangle and brushed my back out of my face. Naturally a little face framing hair fell down and it perfected the look.
Step 3: Apply Styling Product
Next, apply a styling product that will help you achieve the wet and glossy effect. Opt for a lightweight gel or mousse specifically designed for wet hair styles. I used the "Kenra Hydro Gel". This product is amazing because its lightweight and has shimmer for shine. Start by applying a small amount of product to your palms, then distribute it evenly throughout your hair, focusing on the roots and mid-lengths.
I used my fingers to rake in the product after to create a piecey / effortless vibe.
Step 4: Let It Dry Naturally
I lightly scrunched my hair and left to dinner with pretty wet hair. Allow your hair to air dry naturally to maintain the wet hair effect. Avoid using a hairdryer as it can create unwanted frizz and disrupt the sleekness of the style. If you're in a hurry, you can use a diffuser attachment on a low heat setting to speed up the drying process while still preserving the wet look.
Step 5: Set the Style
Once your hair is completely dry, it's time to set the style. Apply a light-hold hairspray or a hair oil mist to add shine and lock in the wet effect. Be careful not to overdo it with the product, as you want to maintain a natural and effortless appearance. I used the "Aloxxi Working Hairspray".

How to Achieve a Wet Hair Look..
This past weekend I was in Miami on a girls trip. I couldn't get my hair to hold a style because of the rain + humidity.
On day 2, I had hat hair from wearing a cowboy hat at the pool party earlier in the day. When we got back to the hotel to get ready for the night, I was like "F it"... turned the shower on, flipped my hair back and decided that It was a wet hair look night.
The last time I did this style was literally 6 years ago at Coachella! I love this look because it took me 5 minutes. It's so effortless, I'm obsessed.
