My morning routine to reduce stress
For the longest time I would wake up, grab my phone and scroll...
We are all guilty of it, right? I put my phone on airplane mode when I go to sleep at night and I wont turn it on for 30-45 mins after waking. Our cortisol levels (stress hormone) are the highest in the morning and I've noticed when I wake up and immediately grab my phone, it not only makes my ADHD worse throughout the day but I get drained a lot faster.
During my AM phone break, I take the dogs out for a little walk, we enjoy the silence before the day starts. Honestly just going outside first thing in the morning and being in the moment is so peaceful. This has been such a game changer. Slow morning have been my fav recently.
